Description:
Nive vew of a "road warrior" who dealt with massive drags of iron ore cars for the Duluth, Missabee & Iron Range. History - Baldwin, 1/1943 serial #64713 After nearly 19 years of service, the massive loco was sold for scrap in 1962. Specs - M4 class, 63" drivers, 240 psi boiler pressure, 26x32" cylinders, engine weight of 699,700 lb, impressive tractive effort of 140,000 lb. There was no date, location or photographer listed for this photo so an approximate date and location were used.
