Description:
The French privat operator Europorte got seven new 90t Vossloh DE 18 in 2015. The DE 18 has 1,800 kW and is powered by a MTU 12V 4000 R43(L) diesel engine, tank capacity is 4000 l / 1056 gal. The locomotive is equipped with slip protection (VSP), an automatic start-stop eco drive system (VED) and driver assistance (VDA), a track recorder (VTR) has been developed to log and analyze for improved fuel efficiency such parameters as working times and travel speeds. Exhaust gas regulation according to EU/2004/26 stage IIIA (prepared for stage IIIB). It is approved to allow operation on public networks at speeds of up to 120 kph / 75 mph.
