B&O 1835, side view
Description:
B&O 1835 was parked in the deadline at the former C&O yards at Huntington, WV on 12-28-1986. Note the peeling paint on the cab roof and the builder's plate on the battery box (probably no place on the frame, what with all those louvers!). Unit was set up to run long-hood forward.

B&O 1835, front view
Description:
This view of B&O 1835 shows the front, as the engiqe was set up to run long hood forward. B&O 1835 was part of the deadline at the former C&O yards at Huntington, WV on 12-28-1986. Note the large "Chessie" logo on the long (front) hood and the ladders instead of grab irons.
